Karedok is a traditional food from West Java, Indonesia. We also called Karedok is a Sundanese Vegetables Salad. Principally, Karedok is a mixed salads with peanut dressing.  This food commonly consumed because it doesn't need any expensive ingredients. This food also good for our healty. 

Making Karedok is not difficult. It is easy and you can make it by your own at home.  

How to make Karedok?

Here are some direction to guide you step by step how to make Karedok.

Step 1
Prepare the tools. In this case we use traditional tools made from stone. We usually called "Cobek"

Step 2
Preparing the ingredients, are :
2 tablespoon of fried or roasted peanuts
5 pieces of bird's eye chili
1 pieces of shrimp paste
2 - 3 cm white ginger (kencur)
1/4 brown sugar
1 teaspoon of salt

Step 3
Mashed all the ingredients on the stone tools (cobek), then give 2 tablespoon of tamarind water.

Step 4
Preparing the vegetables are :
2 Cucumber, thinly sliced
A bunch of basil leaf
100 grams of bean sprout discard roorts
2 pieces of cabbage, thinly sliced
4 pieces of long bean, thinly slice

Step 5
Mix all the vegetables, add the peanut sauce and mix evenly

Step 6
Put the mixed salads in the plate

Step 7
Serve the Karedok with a plate of brown rice to make your healty perfectly

Very easy and simple, isn't it?
